Job Title: Lead Platform Engineer – Crypto Derivatives
Salary/Bonus: c. $200k – $250k + Equity
The Company:
This recently funded project aims to build a brokerage layer that unifies access to centralized exchanges, decentralized exchanges, and OTC desks. It does this across spot derivatives and the yield side or fixed income. The project includes a portfolio management solution, order and execution management solution, and margin financing.
The founding team is now looking to expand the development team with the lead role being the first.
Experience needed:
- At least 3 years of experience in engineering in traditional finance at a quant fund, bank, or similar institution
- Experience working on the derivative side in crypto at a hedge fund, quant fund, or exchange
- Ability to architect and build out the entire derivatives layer, aggregating liquidity for derivatives across multiple exchanges including centralized, decentralized, and OTC
- Experience with integrations with DeXes and expertise in handling the complexity of multiple exchange types with the ability to architect and implement solutions for them
Key Skills:
- Expert-level knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript
- Strong experience in developing high-frequency trading systems and algorithms
- Knowledge of crypto derivatives and trading platforms
- Experience with Kubernetes and deploying microservices
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Familiarity with distributed systems and messaging frameworks such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
